Regnum / Legal
Terms of Service
The general terms for Regnum services, including the Q Calendar application.
Last updated 31 August 2026
Agreement and scope
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Regnum Digital Company (“Regnum”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They apply to Regnum websites, applications, and other services that link to them, currently including regnum.io and the Q Calendar mobile application (together, the “Services”).
By accessing or using a Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use a Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you are not legally able to enter into this agreement, you may use the Services only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
A Service may present additional terms for a particular feature. Those additional terms form part of this agreement and control only if they conflict with these general Terms. New or materially different Services may require additional terms before you use them.
Using the Services
Permission to use
Regnum gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to access and use the Services for their intended purpose, subject to these Terms and applicable law. This permission does not transfer ownership of any Service or Regnum content to you.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use a Service unlawfully or to harm, threaten, deceive, or infringe another person;
- interfere with, overload, bypass, probe, or disrupt a Service or its security;
- copy, modify, redistribute, sell, lease, or create derivative versions of a Service except as permitted by Regnum or applicable law;
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except to the extent applicable law does not allow that restriction; or
- use automated means to access a Service in a way that creates unreasonable load or harm.
Ownership
Regnum and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, including their software, design, text, graphics, trademarks, and other content. Third-party names and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Q Calendar terms
These additional provisions apply when you download, install, or use Q Calendar. Q Calendar is provided for personal use and is designed as a local-first calendar.
Local data and backups
Most calendar data, stickers, and related content are stored on your device. You are responsible for your device, local files, and backups. If you import sticker images from your files, photo library, or local folders, they may be copied into the app’s local storage so they remain available inside the app.
Analytics and third-party services
Q Calendar uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand broad product use and improve reliability. Product Analytics and Crash Reporting are enabled by default, and each can be turned off in the first-launch privacy notice or later in Settings > Privacy. Calendar and sticker content is not included. Details are provided in the Privacy Policy.
Connectivity and device security
Some functions may require internet access, including loading external links or sending Product Analytics or Crash Reporting information when enabled. Your network provider may charge you for data use. Regnum is not responsible for unavailable functions caused by your connection, data allowance, or device configuration.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and access to Q Calendar. Jailbreaking or rooting a device can reduce security and may prevent parts of the app from working correctly.
Updates and compatibility
Q Calendar may be updated to improve, change, or maintain the app. We do not guarantee compatibility with every device, operating-system version, or future platform requirement. You may need to install updates to continue using the app.
Third-party services
The Services may rely on or link to services provided by others, including app stores, operating-system providers, Google, Firebase, and Cloudflare. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies. Regnum is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.
If you obtain a Service through an app store, the store’s terms also apply to your relationship with the store, including its distribution, billing, and refund rules where relevant.
Availability, changes, and termination
We may update, improve, change, suspend, or discontinue a Service or part of it. We do not promise that every Service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or unchanged. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before a material discontinuation that affects your use.
You may stop using a Service at any time. We may suspend or end your permission to use a Service if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, create risk or harm, or if the Service is discontinued. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law—survive termination.
Disclaimers and liability
We work to keep the Services useful and reliable. To the extent permitted by law, however, they are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without guarantees that they will meet every requirement or operate without interruption or error.
To the extent permitted by law, Regnum is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of a Service, including loss related to local data, device problems, connectivity, or third-party platforms. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, law, or our operations. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the relevant Service or another appropriate channel. Where required, we will ask you to accept updated Terms. Otherwise, continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the Services. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply in the place where you live.
If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; Regnum may transfer it as part of a reorganisation, acquisition, or transfer of a Service.
